Greg Price

Greg grew up in Philpot, Kentucky, just outside of Owensboro. He was an honors student at Davies County High School, where he was one of a few high-achieving high school graduates to receive a Commonwealth Diploma. He continued to Western Kentucky University and received a dual Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Sociology. He later returned to WKU to receive his Master’s in Professional Counseling.

After graduating Greg worked for the Department of Juvenile Justice as a counselor at the Green River Youth Detention Facility in Butler County and the Family Preservation Program (FPP), covering Henderson to Hancock counties. He dedicated his time to working with families deemed to be high risk of having their children removed. Greg would go on to work with families throughout Kentucky before moving to Northern California to work with foster children.

In 2003 he attended Case Western Reserve University School of Law, a top-tier law school in Cleveland, Ohio. After his first year, Greg worked for The Appalachian Research and Defense Fund, defending impoverished families in Eastern Kentucky. After his second year, he worked for the Southern Poverty Law Center’s Mississippi Youth Justice Program in Jackson, Mississippi, which lead to drastic changes in Mississippi’s juvenile justice system. During the school year, Greg worked for the Cuyahoga County Public Defender, defending indigent clients in one of the busiest courthouses in Ohio.

Since graduating, Greg has tirelessly worked to represent criminal defendants and parents in danger of losing their children. He has fought against overly aggressive state employees and successfully argued hundreds of cases. He has taken cases to the Ohio Supreme Court and has changed legal precedent in the State of Ohio. In 2017, Greg returned to Kentucky. He worked as an Assistant Commonwealth Attorney in the 46th Circuit, handling all felony matters coming through Division II. He was a trusted member of that office and handled assigned cases in both Jefferson County and Hart County. Greg left the Commonwealth Attorney’s in November of 2019 to start his own firm in Elizabethtown, KY.
